Downloading Charts from TJADB's Gitea
1. Download GitHub Desktop
The easiest way to download charts from TJADB's Gitea, for users unfamiliar with how Git works, is GitHub Desktop. You might also be asked to create a GitHub account during setup.
GitHub accounts are not related to TJADB's Gitea accounts, and will not be compatible between each other.
2. Clone a Repository
Pick a charter folder you want to download from the Explore tab. For this example, Colin/Best_Of_TJADB will be used.
Click "Clone repository..." on the top-left corner. For first-time users of GitHub Desktop, there will be a button called "Clone a repository from the internet..." on-screen instead.
From here, enter the URL of the repository you want to download, and choose where you want the folder to be downloaded (ideally, this should be in a location where you and/or the TJA program should be able to find it).
You must make sure the folder that are the files are being downloaded to is empty first.
During download, you may be asked to enter your Gitea username/password to clone the repository. You can leave these fields blank, especially if you don't have a Gitea account at all.
Depending on the size of the repository, you may have to wait for a while before the entire folder is completely downloaded.
Updating Folders
Cloning a repository means more than just downloading a bunch of files, as you can now check for any updates to the charter's folder, and download those new changes.
To check for any new updates to a folder, click the "Fetch origin" button.
If nothing happens after clicking it, that means you're up-to-date and have nothing new to download.
Otherwise, you will see a "Pull origin" prompt, which you can use to download all the newest updates to that charter's folder.
